This photo signifies how younger adults like to be surrounded by others and having fun.
This is the first picture to my story line. At a concert with many friends, a young lady and man met and little did they know this would be the beginning of their life.
This photo signifies marriage between a man and a women.
This is my second photo for my story line. After meeting at a concert and being a couple, the young lady and man chose to spend the rest of their lives together, happily married.
This photo signifies the power and strength of serving for our country.
This is the third photo I chose. After getting married, the husband made a decision to serve for his country and to help my his wife feel safe and be her hero.
This photo signifies a women who is waiting at her front door, looking out and having thoughts of her neighborhood.
This is my fourth photo of my story line. As the husband is away serving the wife takes the time out of her day to look out of her front door and realize how thankful she is to have a husband who is making our country safe and but realizing also how much she misses him and wants him to walk in that front door right at that moment.
This photo signifies a grave yard where an angel is watching over those who have passed but also watching over those who visit.
I chose this photo as my last photo. After the couple spent a happy, loving life together they ended up passing away. This is an important photo because in life the last stage we face is death.
This order of the photographs gives a different argument. A young lady's father served for our country and while doing that he was killed. This young lady knowing that those who serve are like her father allows her to realize that the country is safe and she is able to go have fun, worry free because of those people. This young lady gets married to someone similar to her father to keep the safeness in her life. She usually finds her self looking out her front door, looking at her neighborhood and realizing how thankful she is for those who serve and for her husband who helps her feel safe everyday.
If this story line was placed in a slide show with music to emphasize the life of these people, the argument would be stronger because of the significance that music has on the emotions of others. I also think that this story line could be bettered if the photographs had a text with them that allowed a description of what is going on and background information of a persons life. We recently did an assignment of how knowing at a picture with text can allow us to create a different purpose for them so I think having the text allows for another point of view on what the purpose is.

The intended audience for this product is aimed for girls. The values and opinions this target audience holds is that it is okay to be a girl and to run like a girl and throw like a girl. Doing something like a girl is not an insult and it shouldn't be used like one anymore. Always appealed to the target audiences values and opinions and made it clear that yes girls run, throw and do many others things like a girl but that doesn't mean they aren't good enough to do these things. Always had girls stand in front of the camera and explain that doing something like a girl lowers their confidence. Society and people have created a certain way that girls run, throw and fight and these girls in this video showed that they don't really throw, fight or run the way people imagine them, they are girls but that doesn't mean that they should be insulted by saying they do these things like a girl. One girl stated that she walks like a girl, runs like a girl and wakes up like a girl but she is not ashamed of that and no one else should be.
Within this text the major social and cultural connotation that was used was the phrase "like a girl". Always used the phrase "like a girl" through this whole video backed up by how this phrase can lower self-esteem and confidence and even though this phrase is an insult we should not be ashamed of it. There weren't really pictures but there were short clips of many different girls performing how to throw, hit, run and many other things that help get the point of this commercial across. Always used the same background throughout the commercial and it was a dark blue and gray mixed color. Always used their production cameras as technology but once they made this commercial, technology expanded into TV, computers, and cellphones.
The overall purpose for this commercial was to persuade the viewers but it does more than that. Always created this commercial to show that "like a girl" was a hurtful insult and as girls are going through puberty they are really trying to find out who they are and they are confused because they are being put down by how society views how they do things as a girl. Always wanted to bring in girls and even guys to show examples of how people imagine what girls do when they throw, run, fight and hit. As they showed examples of these they also started showing that what people imagine isn't how girls really do things. Always wanted to inform their viewers that it is not okay to use this as an insult because girls should not be ashamed that they do things like a girl. They wanted to let their audience know that being told you do something like a girl should make you proud and it shouldn't make you feel less than what you truly are. So while informing and persuading their audience they also created a new aspect of how girls do things.
This commercial is very successful in achieving their goal. Always used not just actors and actresses but real girls and boys to do this commercial and to explain how "like a girl" is insulting and to express their feelings in why it should change. By using these boys and girls it helped their case extremely because it allowed the audience to really trust in what they were saying. By the examples they gave and by using boys especially I think it helped to show that like a girl is nothing to be ashamed of. Towards the end the girls and boys were asked questions that help the audience realize that it is okay to do things like a girl because we are girls and we can do things as good as boys can. It's not just how society views us in one specific way, it's how we really do things and how no one see's the real us. Always used a lot of great elements to help their commercial reach the intended viewers and I think they did a great job overall.
